St Andrew’s Knitted Crib Set - Annual Advent Pilgrimage!

On the first Sunday of Advent from 2009, our knitted crib set and a small flock of sheep has been blessed at our 10 am service and has then set out on an Advent journey around as many homes as possible. They all arrive back in St. Andrew’s on December 24th in time for the Crib service at 3 pm. We look for a host family for each night of Advent. Each family hosts the crib for one night and we ask them to make a short entry in the special log book which travels along side. Every child keeps one of the small knitted sheep as a memento of hosting the crib.
