Music Unlimited 2008

The Friends of St. Andrew’s Church, Chippenham

Lunchtime Recitals

This series of recitals in support of repairs to the church roof is now in its third year. The increasing generosity and willingness of performers to participate has led to an extended season in which there are a number of recitals on Saturdays at 12.30 pm; but the established Wednesday time of 1.15pm remains unchanged. An even greater variety of composers, styles and instruments are represented, which promises to make this an exceptionally interesting and varied season. This year’s anniversaries of John Blow (d.1708), Vaughan Williams (d. 1958) and Olivier Messiaen (b.1908) are observed and represent the diversity of the music chosen by the participants. Full details of the programmes and performers their biographies will appear here.

Admission: adults £3.50, children free. (donation appreciated). A drink is included in the admission price.
